Questions

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to give my name or contact details to see quotes?

No. The quote tool asks for gender, date of birth, your general health status, tobacco use, how much coverage you want and your preferred term length. Those six pieces of information are sufficient to generate carrier quotes. Your full name, address and detailed health information are only requested if you choose to proceed with an application.

Are the monthly prices shown the price I will pay?

Each quote shown is based on the rates that carrier offers for your selected health class. The actual premium you pay will be set by the underwriting process, which may confirm your class, improve it, or assign a different classification. Nothing shown on this site is a binding offer of insurance or a guarantee of price.

What happens when I click Apply?

You will provide your name, and your selected quote becomes the foundation of the application, which then proceeds on the carriers' secure system. You can pause and return to it later, and your signature is digital. Susman Insurance Agency, License 0B75129, handles the entire application process.

Will I need a medical exam?

Underwriting requirements vary by carrier, coverage amount and your answers. Some carriers now offer rapid underwriting with no examination required for qualified applicants; each quote clearly indicates whether an examination is required, may be required, or is not needed.

Is a longer term better?

Your choice of term should align with the period when your family would be vulnerable to the loss of your income: your mortgage years, your children's upbringing, a business debt. Monthly costs rise with longer terms, but your rate is locked for that entire period. The quote tool lets you compare terms of 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30 years in a single view.

Does this site sell my information?

No. The quote tool operates without storing contact information, we do not buy or sell visitor data, and our analytics tools do not use cookies. The privacy page details exactly what information is collected and which services handle it.
